About

I’ve been shooting portraits for many years; photography has been an important part of my life since I was a teen. During the decades when I was a creative director for global ad agencies (Ogilvy, Y&R, Havas), I also worked as a part-time professional photographer and adjunct instructor at the International Center of Photography in New York City.

One of the benefits of teaching at ICP was the ability to learn from the others on the faculty. I got to spend time with world-renowned photographers; we were welcomed into each other’s classrooms and workshops. That was an amazing gift!

Of course, I also had the opportunity to observer hundreds of directors and photographers on the many shoots was fortunate enough to attend during my long advertising career.

In Portland, I was Chief Creative Officer for an agency called Rain. I am currently on the faculty of Portland State University. Previously, I taught at The Pacific Northwest College of Art.
